InnoHungary Project

In October 2003 the Hungarian Government established the Hungarian Technology Center (previous name: HTEC, at present: InnoHungary Technology Center) in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area, as a consulting practice and incubator facility for Hungarian technology companies. The InnoHungary Technology Center is headquartered in Vienna VA; its main mission to help Hungarian ICT companies access to US markets, and to attract their American counterparts to Hungary. The mandate of InnoHungary has been extended to cover nano- and biotechnology related businesses, and to promote investment/outsourcing activities to Hungary.

InnoHungary acts as the central point of contact for American and Hungarian companies that seek to enhance their business prospects in the counterpart country.

The project is currently supervised by the Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency (ITDH), it reports to the responsible Ministries of Hungary.

InterAccessUSA has operated the Technology Center since 2005 - from the beginning of 2007 under contract with ITDH.

ITDH's mission is to help Hungarian small and mid-sized enterprises strengthen their position in the global market by fostering entrepreneurial spirit, promoting regional development and expanding international relationships. ITDH also actively facilitate the investment process and encourage the import and export of capital. ITDH sponsors the InnoHungary project on behalf of the Hungarian Government; the Ministry for National Development and Economy and the Ministry of Transport, Telecommunication and Energy.

The Ministries are leader in making sustainable improvements in real economic performance and are also responsible for the development of the industry, domestic and external trade, and infrastructure, transportation and communications.

InterAccessUSA manages the day-to-day activities of InnoHungary Technology Center with high qualified management and administrative staff, including consultants; and continues providing incubator facilities for selected companies.

InterAccessUSA works in close cooperation and partnership with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) as the operator of InnoHungary, and with the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) as proud member.
